Writing Island Junior is a three level book series designed to introduce basic writing skills to junior learners. Using the guided writing approach, each lesson is based on a systematic three step guided process. First, the Key, that introduces students to the new vocabulary words, expressions, structure, and punctuation rules that fix the basic information that students need to build their writing. Second, the Adventure, that leads the students through the process of idea mapping, organizing, and structuring paragraphs with graphic organizers. Finally, the Treasure, in which the students practice their mastery of what they have learned in writing the first draft, practice their revising and editing skills and publish their final writing.
